What causes procrastination?
We all procrastinate, don’t we? I’ve written a lot about procrastination in the past on my business & personal development website.
So pop on over if you are interested in learning more but if you have less than 2 minutes to spare this brilliant little video clip about procrastination sums it up. I hope you enjoy it.
And remember to get your stuff done ๐

I’ve seen that video before Andy and it really cracked me up. I KNOW people like this and they NEVER get their stuff done.
I’ve had my moments when I just either couldn’t concentrate or I was just so tired that I couldn’t get moving so for those days I just didn’t get my stuff done. But they are few and far between so I’m thankful for that. Usually, I get my stuff done whether I want to or not. lol…
Good one my friend, really good one! Now, I need to finish up this comment because I have more stuff that needs to be done! ๐
Hi Adrienne – Thanks for your comment and for retweeting this post. Your support is much appreciated.
Procrastination is a tricky issue to deal with and there are many ways to manage it. I think the root of it is that you will tend to procrastinate on things you don’t particularly like doing. Doing stuff you love doesn’t take much energy at all. In fact it feeds you!
So the trick is to realise that sometimes to do what you love doing sometimes involves doing a task that you are not particularly good at or like doing.
Of course you can always outsource it and give your hated task to someone else who loves doing it!
Thanks as always Adrienne
Andy
I loved this video, thanks for sharing. LOL!
PS Wanted to make sure you saw your blog on my new CommentLuv enabled blog list!
As much as this cartoon made me laugh, it also reminded me of myself or certain days! Procrastination is a huge issue and it seems as if the tasks that we put off become harder and harder to complete. I have been trying to wake up and ‘eat the frog’ lately.
We all have those days Justin – it’s how we deal with it that matters. Sometimes if we are just having ‘one of those days’ it’s best to down tools and do something completely different. Then we come back energised and re-focused and wonder what all the fuss was about.
And eating frogs helps too ๐
Hello Andy,
Thanks for sharing the video. You really have a good flair of what you are sharing. Also you are right that if we love what we do, it becomes easier for us to practice it daily.
Have a good day ahead Andy..!
Thanks,
Ivin
Thanks Ivin
Glad you liked it – I’m sure you are more motivated than this guy ๐
I was going to type a comment but I got distracted by clicking through to your other posts instead. ๐
Nice one Andrew ๐
So glad I got your Premium plugin just in time – almost didn’t get my stuff done!
Thanks for the amazing deal
Best wishes
Andy
That video reminds me of my college roommate. He was that guy! My procrastination techniques don’t play out to that full extent, but I have been known to clean my desk a lot to avoid work. Thanks for the laugh.
It’s good to laugh – sometimes we are too serious for our own good!
